What is Drunk on Set

Submitted by amilh on Tue, 2008-01-15 06:32.

Alex Trebek has problems finishing a commercial for phone jeopardy, because he is a drunk douche.

Speaking of douches, in the song "Blinded by the Light" written by Bruce Springsteen but performed by Manfred Mann.  The Lyrics  seem to be saying 'Blinded by the Light, cut loose like a douche, another runner in the night'  I thought for the longest time he had some feminine product  fetish that I wasn't getting but the lyrics actually are meant to go 'cut loose like a deuce' referring to a hot rod, a little duece coupe from the Beach Boys songs.  Another great modern mystery is solved.

I wasn't the only confused person, read more about the confusing song here

Ignore "this post":http://reallyimportantstuff.com/wojo/worst_news_ever/01/30/2006 and dull the pain of the "Vichy Dems":http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/01/30/MNG83GVPHN31.DTL and the sad State of the Union by popping into your "local drinking lberally pub":http://drinkingliberally.org/locations.html. Lucky for me, mine meets today near my place, but not all do so check the schedule. Check the forums because many that don't normally meet on Tuesdays may be meeting in anticipation of "this":http://youtube.com/w/George-Bush-State-of-the-Union?v=2L_jt2O7gAE&search=state%20of%20the%20union. You never know who you "might run into":http://reallyimportantstuff.com/wojo/mike_myers_doesnt_care_about_drunk_people/01/26/2006, and if things go really well you might even find yourself with opportunity to ignore this "bad news":http://reallyimportantstuff.com/kp/actual_worst_news_ever/01/30/2006
