Go ahead and count the votes, Hillary still looses

Submitted by amilh on Wed, 2008-05-07 10:35.

The current conception is that if Florida and Michigan are counted Clinton would be ahead in popular votes, but it's totally incorrect. Under virtually ever scenario barring fish from Lake Superior casting votes for Clinton, the Senator from New York looses.

What is all the hubub about paying for sex?

Submitted by amilh on Tue, 2008-03-11 14:23.

James Florentein

Okay America let's get real for a minute, and not Real Time Bill Maher real, I mean really real. What is all the commotion about paying for vaginal pleasures? Am I missing something here? I thought America was all about personal freedom? We have the freedom to buy guns, get drunk and or drive, and the God given right to look at boobies at any time of the day.

Why then America can't a healthy American man buy a snatch sandwich after a hard day of work?

If anything we should be encouraging more American prostitution, it might be one of the last things we can corner the market in. What's that you say? Thai girls are 20 years ahead of our prostitutes Shit! See America, you're loosing out on yet another economic battle.

All I'm saying is that we as Americans can do better. We can make better schools, kick more terrorist ass, and also provide the best top shelf cooter to paying customers. This is the land of the free, not the land of the free, except when it comes to paying for a woman to tie you up and spank your buttocks until you develop small but adorable blisters.

Get your act together America, this is one fight that is actually worth fighting.

Framing: Mccains gift to Obama

Submitted by wojo on Fri, 2008-02-22 15:55.
The question remains as to whether or not this lobbyist scandal could go far enough to be a gift to Huckabee, or even Romney.  McCain's rebuttal to the NY Times article suggesting he had an affair appears to be outright false.  McCain claims he never spoke with anyone at Paxson Communications or their lobbying firm (where Vicki Iseman, the woman named in the possible affair works) about two letters he wrote to the FCC on their behalf.  A sworn deposition from 5 years ago has him on record claiming that he did speak with them and was asked to write the letters. Blah, blah, blah -- another DC scandal, but this line from his deposition is the key
A Hole in McCain’s Defense? | Newsweek
At another point Abrams asked McCain if, "looking back on the events with Mr. Paxson, the contributions, the jets, everything you and I have just talked about, do you believe that it would have been justified for a member of the public to say there is at least an appearance of corruption here?"

"Absolutely," McCain replied. "And when I took a thousand dollars or any other hard-money contribution from anybody who does business before the Congress of the United States, then that allegation is justified as well. Because the taint affects all of us." Elsewhere McCain said about his dealings with Paxson, "As I said before, I believe that there could possibly be an appearance of corruption because this system has tainted all of us."

That is Obama's response to questions from Hill-bot or McCain about his lack of DC experience. Let's all make, "This system has tainted all of us" t-shirts. Hell, I'll crochet it on a pillow and send it to McCain.

Now I feel bad for Hillary

Submitted by amilh on Wed, 2008-02-20 10:22.

I've never been a big supporter of Hillary Clinton but now I feel bad for her.  Loosing in the state and delegate count, she's at the point of loosing all momentum and has been reaching down deep for anything that will catch the public's attention.

In this clip Hillary really tries to connect to the audience but due to her inferior Terminator programming she fails miserably.  When all else fails she uses a Obama esque phrase "yes we will"  Sadly the audience doesn't go for it and now I feel sorry for the Hillbot

You Still want to vote for Hillary?

We've posted, and posted about the need to elect Obama to beat the Republicans this year, but there are now CNN polls that confirm our keen political insight.

Complete guide to Hillary Clinton photos

Submitted by amilh on Wed, 2008-02-06 11:11.
For reasons I can't actually quantify, Hillary Clinton draws an incredible amount of venom from people.  There is nothing intrinsically wrong with her political platform, way of speaking or character, but it cannot be denied that she, forgive the cliche, polarizes the public.

Obviously it would be idiotic to elect anyone based on what they look like in photoshoped images, but the amount of anti-Hillary content on the web is indicative of how adamant people feel negatively about her.

At a time when taking back the white house has never been more important, we need to elect a leader who has the ability to bring both sides of the aisle together.

Weird Hillary

Okay you made Hillary feel good, now it's time to elect Obama

Submitted by amilh on Wed, 2008-02-06 10:15.

You're so compassionate, America.  You didn't want to hurt Hillary's feelings, I get it.  You gave her a victory in her home state because you didn't want the waterworks would start again.  That was really nice of you.

I'll say it again, Hillary and Obama have virtually identical voting records, so why on earth would we put put up someone who Republicans would rally around??
