Why Texas is Hillary's last stand

Submitted by wojo on Fri, 2008-02-22 14:14.
I think this really was the nail in Hill-bot's coffin.  As an update to the earlier post, it appears she stole her closing line from Edwards as well as Bill. First, she can't even execute attack properly: on the very same debate she attacks Obama for "plagiarizing" a line from someone who is a Chair on his campaign.  Then, she steals lines for her closing remarks? Mostly, she put the stark contrast between the same old vindictive politics of the past on display by trying to tear Obama down over something so inconsequential.  I agree with Barack, "Silly politics."  Still, give Hill-bot some credit; she came up with "Change you can Xerox" all by  herself. You own it girl!  Be proud.

Hillary's own plagarism moment

How Can Hill-bot not see that the only victim of this "plagiarism" crap is her own campaign. We are supposed to be astounded that Obama used some lines from Gov. Deval Patrick...we don't care!  Just like we don't care when Hill-bot steals lines from her husband (below), or McCain rips off the Beach Boys to describe his Iran policy.

Obama Upstages Hilary

Submitted by wojo on Wed, 2008-02-20 17:38.

"The last thing we need is the same old folks, doing the same old things, making the same old mistakes."

Take that to the bank Obama.  Hilary and McCain are insane if they think they will win this with a, "More of the same," strategy.

"I'm a republican, and I'll vote for Obama in Nov if given the opportunity. Just don't F it up dems"

"I disagree with Obama on many issues. I don't think his education plan will work, I don't agree with his stance on NASA, I'm worried that he's going to raise my taxes...

But even with all that said, I realize that the number one thing the United States needs right now is a leader.

Obama is a leader.

Obama is the right person for the job, and he is the only one that I think can bring some actual credibility back to the United States, and perhaps even give us something to be proud of again.

I'm willing to pay a little more in taxes to be proud of my country once again...

Please vote for Obama."

If this doesn't change your mind on Hillary, you deserve what you get

Submitted by amilh on Tue, 2008-02-05 12:01.

Feb. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Democrat Hillary Clinton has raised
more money from lobbyists than any other presidential candidate
while Republican John McCain has more of them assisting his
campaign.

Clinton took in $823,087 from registered lobbyists and
members of their firms in 2007 and the second-biggest recipient
was McCain, who took in $416,321, according to the Center for
Responsive Politics, a Washington-based group which tracks
political giving.

Barack Obama, Clinton's rival for the
Democratic nomination, doesn't take money from registered
lobbyists

Nailed it

Submitted by amilh on Thu, 2008-01-31 21:57.

So earlier this week I wrote a poorly researched post about how Clinton and Ombama had virtually the same political platform.

Well, I was friggin right.

Salon.com posted an article outlining how they have voted the same on 257 out of 267 votes in the Senate.  It's good to be right.

Now that Edwards is out, are you really going to vote for Hillary?

Submitted by amilh on Wed, 2008-01-30 10:20.

Edwards, populist with the best haircut since Teddy Roosevelt just dropped out of the Presidential race.  Now that it's a two way sprint, are you really going to vote for Hillary?

On paper, Barack and Hillary have almost identical political platforms so far.

(from nationalplatforms.com)

Barack - Has a plan to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and to turn
the global warming crisis into a moment of opportunity for innovation
and job creation

Foreign Policy

Hillary - Americans are ready for a leader who will restore America's reputation in the world.
Barack - Senator Obama has fought to strengthen America's position in the world.

Hilary W.

Did George W. don a blonde wig (a Sheinhardt perhaps?) and speak in New Hampshire today? (Video Below)
I don't think it was by accident that Al Qaeda decided to test the new Prime Minister immediately (referring to bombings in Glasgow the day after Gordon Brown took office). They watch our elections as closely as we do -- maybe more than some of our citizens do. They play our...allies...they do everything they can to undermine security in the world. Let's not forget you are hiring a president not just to do what a candidate says he or she wants to do in a election; you are hiring a president to be there when the chips are down.
Now this is true bipartisanship. It's good to see a Democrat primary candidate reading from the same "The terrorists want my opponent to win" hymn sheet as the GOP.

And I interpreted this as that the terrorists are actually involved and want to involve themselves in our electoral process, which must mean they want a change. [Vice President Cheney, 10/17/06]

There’s certainly a stepped up level of violence, and we’re heading into an election. … They are trying to not only kill American troops, but they’re trying to foment sectarian violence. [President Bush, 10/18/06]

[I]t is possible, although we don’t have a clear pathway into the minds of terrorists, it is possible that they are trying to use violence right now as a way of influencing the elections. [Then-White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, 10/19/06]
