I was listening to Left Right and Center today as they praised William F. Buckley for being the "Father of Conservatism" and a guy who always voiced his opinion with "civility and none of the name-calling that has come to characterize current political discourse." He calls Gore Vidal a, "Queer," in the clip below. In fairness, Vidal is a queer.

Also, interesting that the birthplace of modern Conservatism was support for the Vietnam War. I was astounded that the "Liberals lost the Vietnam War" meme was effective in the '04 election. So effective that Kerry couldn't run on his courageous opposition to the war, and instead had to spend time defending his combat heroics. Vietnam was a clusterfuck! So is Iraq...and Conservatism for that matter. Queers indeed.
